Man Plan

The Man Plan is a resistance based exercise program that is designed to help men with lifestyle change including, weight gain, changes in bone density and muscle de-conditioning. The Man Plan includes an initial and final assessment plus 16 supervised gym sessions.

Current research indicates that progressive resistance exercise has beneficial effects on muscle strength, functional performance and balance in older men and should be considered to preserve body composition and maintain health & well-being.

What’s Involved

Gym sessions are an hour in duration and supervised by qualified Exercise Professionals. Participants are guided through a series of resistance exercises taking into consideration any medical conditions or limitations. We conduct a number of assessments and track your progress over the course of the program, which include:

  • Health:

    Weight, Waist & Blood Pressure

  • Fitness:

    6 Minute Walk Assessment

  • Strength:

    Chest, Legs, Back

In addition to anthropometric measures, the program promotes a self-management approach that improves the sustainability for the participant and ensures that they are able to continue with their exercise at the completion of the program.
