Down Syndrome has a wide-range of musculoskeletal and neurological complications. The most common musculoskeletal impairment affects strength and conditioning, combined with reduced muscle tone and increased flexibility around joints.

Our exercise group offers a social, fun and friendly environment to participate in a supervised group exercise program. Each session is 60 minutes in duration and consists of of aerobic, strengthening, balance and recreational activities. The program is appropriate for all fitness and coordination abilities and the qualified instructor will offer different options and encourage people to participate at a comfortable intensity.

The fitness professional will suggest gradual progression and demonstrate patience, support and encouragement.
